We developed ClubAston from our client's desire to "blow away a billionaire." In the tradition of starting with the "wow" and working backwards into design, ClubAston is no exception, as everything (including the turnable) revolves around the car. Our client, Galpin's Marketing VP Beau Boeckmann, described his desire for an exclusive and private "James Bond" type experience. Working closely with Beau, we ramped up the vision by adding the retail ritual of "Tiffany's", only this time for Men.
Imagine, Martini in hand, designing your own Aston Martin on a plasma screen at a computerized cocktail bar, while the leather and paint samples are presented like fine diamonds on black velvet. The salesman sheds that confrontational desk and becomes your evening's host. A relaxed and private form of consumption built around the culture of Aston Martin. When your personalized Aston Martin arrives, you return to the Club armed with a code that opens a full size vault door, only to find your dream car within. Licensed to thrill.. and it does.
